In just over two days, we will finally be heading out on the road. Words cannot describe how excited I am for this. After over a year of planning the day is finally nearing.
Over the course of the last few weeks I have been working feverishly to try and tweak the pocket query and cache data for the trip. In total, I have run 28 pocket queries. I also used a macro in GSAK to fetch another 10,000 caches using our main route as a guide. Merged together, the total amount of caches is somewhere over 45,000!
I’ve also made a checklist of all the items I need to pack and bring for this trip. Between tonite and tomorrow I’ll begin the process of packing everything up and getting ready.
If it were up to me, we’d be leaving on Sunday as early as possible. But since my son has his birthday that same day, I am only able to leave around 1pm. It doesn’t matter anyway since we are just aiming for the south side of Portland, ME anyway. It still would be nice to leave earlier but all will be good.
For now, I need to finish my work day and then vacation can begin.
