We had originally intended to do the Groundspeak 20 year celebration event in Seattle, combined with Geowoodstock in Abottsford, Alaska, and the northern Canadian territories. But with COVID-19, we had to alter our plans.
For a short time, we considered doing Newfoundland. But after discovering how many lab caches there are in Nova Scotia, we thought it would be a great opportunity to do the entire coastline.
As it stands now, these are the legs of the trip:
- Day 1 – Moncton to Yarmouth
- Day 2 – Yarmouth to Halifax
- Day 3 – Halifax to Sydney
- Day 4 – Sydney to Port Hawksebury
- Day 5 – Port Hawksebury to Moncton
This time around it’s only 5 days and only a single province. Given that none of us have really ever had the chance to see this much of Nova Scotia, we are pretty psyched to check it out.
Along with the lab caches, we also plan to visit GCBBA and it’s plaque on Graves Island. We’re also looking at any other caches we might pick up along the way.
