The Plan
Inspired by another geocaching group who completed all 48 states in one week, the guys set out on September 3rd, 2017 from Moncton, NB with a goal to hit all 48 contiguous US states in 13 days.
The route was divided into 10 legs, each with a minimum 6-hour rest break. Special stops included Groundspeak HQ and an APE Cache in Washington state, with extended layovers in San Francisco, Las Vegas, Washington DC, and New York City.
All legs and layovers were subject to change based on actual trip conditions.
